TRANGO 2012 at Pakistan

July 15, 2012 to September 1, 2012
A group climbers from the MCSA in JHB and C.T. are planing an expedition to Trango Tower in Pakistan. The tip is sheduled to be 6 weeks long departing RSA on the 15 July and returning around the 3 September. Via Ferrata in the berg.

The Via Ferrata / cable climb is an awesome way of climbing in the berg not having to deal with lead climbing on berg rock. The cable is fixed to the rock all the way along the route and you need harness, helmet and shock absorbing lanyards like the BD Easy Rider via ferrata kit. you then clip into the cable and climb.The free climbing grade( if you dont pull on the cable) is grade 16. The route has amazing exposure and great views of the sentinel and the tooth.See More

The start of our Africa Trip 2010...

Our drive to Cape Town went very smooth, along the way we stopped off in Touws Rivier to have a look at the farm where Shelly used to work. Then on towards the mountains that were covered in snow and into Cape Town just in time to watch the World Cup Final with our friends Mark and Natalie and, Matt and Ilse. The following 3 days were used to taste some of the Cape wine……. mmmm very tasty stuff, present a slide show, pick up some fantastic goodies from RAM Mountaineering and do last minute…
