For every route you climb, you give a certain amount of money to an institution or cause of your choice. The harder the route you climb, the more money you commit to giving (see example below).
The money you give does not have to come out of your own pocket, but you can get people/businesses to sponsor you. Or better yet, get people/businesses to match whatever you give. It is about committing to make a difference.
Getting started:
1 - Find an organisation that you would like to support
2 - Decide on X amount for 1 grade above your hardest redpoint (*)
3 - Start Cranking
It takes time to push up your personal best with one grade, so during that time you can get people/organisations to sponsor/help with your donation for that route.
Remember the value of X is in your hands, so you can start low and shift it up as you get others to help. BUT try to never lower it.
